The ratio of punching diameter to material thickness in stamping can reach the following values: 0.4 for hard steel, 0.35 for soft steel and brass, and 0.3 for aluminum.

When punching a small hole in a plate, when the material thickness is greater than the die diameter, the punching process is not a shearing process, but a process of squeezing the material through the die into the concave die. At the beginning of extrusion, part of the punched scrap is compressed and squeezed into the surrounding area of the hole, so the thickness of the punched scrap is generally less than the thickness of the raw material.

When punching small holes in the stamping process, the diameter of the punching die is very small, so if the ordinary method is used, the small die will break easily, so we try to improve the strength of the die to prevent it from breaking and bending. The methods and attention should be paid to the following.

5, The pressing force should be increased by 1.5~2 times compared with the simple dematerialization.

6, The guide plate is made of high hardness material or inlay, and it is 20%-30% thicker than usual.
